The Huangpu River is a prominent waterway in Shanghai, China. It flows through the city and is a significant landmark, offering stunning views of Shanghai's skyline. The river divides the city into two regions: Pudong to the east and Puxi to the west. Pudong is known for its modern skyscrapers and financial district, while Puxi features historical architecture and cultural attractions. The juxtaposition of old and new along the Huangpu River provides a captivating panorama of Shanghai's development. The Bund, a historic waterfront area on the western bank of the Huangpu River, is famous for its colonial-era buildings. On the opposite side, the Pudong skyline boasts iconic structures like the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai Tower. The river also plays a vital role in Shanghai's transportation, with various bridges spanning its width.
