Ammonia, often referred to as "the other hydrogen", is emerging as a future energy vector for decarbonization of the global economy. However, numerous challenges remain before it can be utilized on a large scale. These challenges include issues related to its production, storage, transportation, utilization, environmental impacts, and safety. Continuous innovation and advancements are essential to ensure its effective integration into future sustainable energy systems. As progress is made globally, the Symposium on Ammonia Energy (SoAE) serves as an international platform for presenting and discussing the latest scientific and engineering developments in the field of ammonia energy.

Following the successful 1^st and 2^nd SoAE events held at Cardiff University and the University of Orléans, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Foshan Xianhu Laboratory will take over the baton and host 3^rd SoAE in Shanghai, China. The theme of this symposium is Ammonia: New Energy, New Opportunity. We will share the latest research results, discuss innovative technology solutions, and engage in dialogue on sustainable development strategies for ammonia energy, jointly promote the ammonia energy research, address related challenges, and achieve a cleaner and more sustainable future energy landscape.
